Searching for pademelons

Join us and a team of volunteers to help survey the red-legged pademelons in Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. Anyone with an interest in observing native wildlife is welcome to join. Binoculars are useful but not essential (we will have some for the children but encourage to bring your own, if you have them).

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is a wonderland for nature lovers and particularly suitable to families and children. We will be following one of the circuit walks and then spend some time in the interactive Rainforest Discovery Centre. 

Please note: All Big Scrub Nature Play programs are facilitated by fully qualified and experienced nature play educators and forest school mentors, however parent / caregivers supervision is always required.

This program has been created with school aged children in mind, but it's open to all ages. Walking involved, so babies are welcome in a carrier.  Children must be accompanied by a parent / carer.

Meeting point:

Meet in front of the Rainforest Discovery Centre at 8:45 AM for a 9 AM start.

Please note:  We cannot credit any missed sessions for absenteeism or change of mind. Should we cancel due to weather or staffing, you will receive a credit for future programs. We also reserve the right to cancel the session if a minimum number of bookings is not achieved.
